Mystery Doug

Good Morning Parents!

I know that working with your child from home can be challenging and I hope that you are also able to take time with them to simply spend time together and focus on being a family.

I would like to share a science resource with you that I'm hoping will make working at home with your child a little more fun (and stress free!)

Every Monday, we watch the latest Mystery Doug science video. The videos are short (only 5 minutes long) and tackle a variety of questions posed by elementary students.

Most videos come with a Mystery Box that pose engaging questions and show unique and strange things you can find in our world.

Watching the video and going through the mystery box with your child takes about 10 minutes and opens up a great chance to communicate with your child about our world.

The videos are suitable for students from grades JK to 6, so if you have more than one child in school, you can all watch together.

During school closures, Mystery Doug has opened up all of its videos for students to watch, so you and your children can choose a topic that you are most interested in. Maybe your child has one that we've watched in class that they would like to show you!

This week's episode is: How does hand sanitizer kill germs?

Some other interesting episodes to check out:

You do need to create a login to see the videos, however, you can watch the videos in the above links without creating a profile.

Sending prayers and love you you and your family,

Mrs. Dohonick
